State govt staff seek 30% pay hike as interim relief

Akhila Karnataka State Government Employees’ Federation on Friday urged the government to hike their salaries by 30% as an interim relief.

The interim relief should be sanctioned with effect from January this year. Besides, the 7th Pay Commission should be set up by this month end, and it should be headed by a retired high court judge. The commission should be asked to submit its report within six months, the Association said in a release.
