Maximum temperatures today hovered around normal level in several parts of Punjab and Haryana, a day after rains brought respite from the hot weather conditions in the two states.
Chandigarh recorded a maximum of 33 degrees Celsius, the MeT Department said here.
Among other places in Punjab, Amritsar recorded its maximum at 29.5 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded their maximums at 32.4 and 33.1 degrees Celsius respectively.
In Haryana, Ambala's maximum stood at 33.4 degrees Celsius. Hisar and Karnal's maximums were 34 and 33.6 degrees Celsius respectively, it said.
The weatherman has predicted dry weather conditions in the two states for the next 24 hours.
