A local in nearby Tirupur district today sentenced a 38-year-old man to life imprisonment for murdering his wife, two years ago.

The district Mahila judge (in-charge) Mohamed Jiyabutheen, awarded the life imprisonment to Ganesan on charges of and 10 years rigorous imprisonment for hiding the body, which would run concurrently.



The judge also sentenced Ponnu to 10 years rigorous imprisonment for assisting the convict in hiding the body.
