Sesame oil prices softened by Rs 100 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on subdued demand.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in limited deals and pegged at last levels.
Traders said muted demand from retailers against adequate stocks position mainly weighed on sesame oil prices.
In the national capital, sesame mill delivery oil declined by Rs 100 to Rs 8,100 per quintal.
