Sunil Hitech, Future Retail, Thyrocare surge up to 5%
NEW DELHI: Equity market was trading in red in late afternoon trade, but there were many stocks that surged more than 5 per cent on Thursday.
Domestic equity index BSE Sensex was trading 124.60 points down at 29849.64 on April 06 on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Shares of Camlin Fine Sc (up 5.11 per cent), Future Retail (up 5.14 per cent), Prozone Intu (up 5.33 per cent), Hindustan Comp (up 5.48 per cent), Zuari Global (up 5.61 per cent), Sutlej Textiles (up 5.77 per cent), Thyrocare Technologies Ltd. (up 5.94 per cent), GTL Infra (up 6.09 per cent), West Coast Paper (up 6.25 per cent), B L Kashyap (up 6.32 per cent), JVL Agro Ind (up 6.37 per cent), Kirloskar Ind (up 6.59 per cent) were trading over 5 per cent higher around 12.45 pm (IST). Sunil Hitech Engineers surged over 8 per cent.
In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as Bajaj Auto (up 1.40 per cent), Indian Oil Corp (up 0.96 per cent), IndusInd Bank (up 0.84 per cent), Zee Entertainment (up 0.74 per cent), RIL (up 0.73 per cent), Infosys (up 0.57 per cent), ONGC (up 0.46 per cent), Tata Motors (up 0.44 per cent), GAIL (up 0.43 per cent), Tata Motors (up 0.42 per cent), HCL Tech (up 0.29 per cent) and Axis Bank (up 0.27 per cent) were trading among top gainers.
The Nifty 50 index was down 38.15 points at 9227.00.
Among the 51 components in the Nifty index, 18 were trading in green, while 33 were in red.
