Market falls: RIL, Axis Bank, HDFC most active stocks in terms of value
NEW DELHI: The domestic equity market came off all-time high on Thursday with shares of RIL, SBI, Tata Motors, L&T and Maruti Suzuki among the most active stocks in terms of traded value.
Shares of RIL (Rs 828.54 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 286.54 crore), HDFC (Rs 246.58 crore), ITC (Rs 228.99 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 186.02 crore), SBI (Rs 185.91 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 174.28 crore), Larsen & Toubro (Rs 157.05 crore), Maruti Suzuki (Rs 145.76 crore), Vedanta Ltd (Rs 143.05 crore) were among the most active stocks in terms of value around 12.40 pm (IST) on Thursday.
The NSE Nifty was down 37.55 points at 9227.60 at around the same time.
In the Nifty 50 index, Hindalco Inds. (down 3.08 per cent), Ibull HousingFin (down 1.93 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 1.70 per cent), ITC (down 1.42 per cent), Eicher Motors (down 1.39 per cent), Coal India Ltd (down 1.31 per cent), Adani Ports SEZ (down 1.30 per cent), Larsen & Toubro (down 1.29 per cent), SBI (down 1.21 per cent) and Tata Power (down 1.08 per cent) were trading in red.
On the other hand, Bajaj Auto (up 1.39 per cent), Indian Oil Corp (up 0.96 per cent), IndusInd Bank (up 0.84 per cent), RIL (up 0.73 per cent), Infosys (up 0.68 per cent), Zee Ent. (up 0.67 per cent), GAIL (up 0.48 per cent), ONGC (up 0.46 per cent), HCL Tech (up 0.34 per cent) and Axis Bank (up 0.30 per cent) were among top gainers in the index.

During the day Aditya Birla Money, Patspin India, BSEL Infra, Hester Biosc, Websol Energy, Archidply Ind, Jai Balaji Inds, Weizmann Ltd, TN Petroprod, Jay Shree Tea are the stocks which touched their fresh 52-week high.
On the other hand, Gallantt Ispat, Intense Tech, Persistent Sys, N R Agarwal Ind, KSK Energy Vent, Shekhawati Poly, VKS Projects, FCS Software stocks hit their new 52-week low levels during the day.
