Rahul Gandhi on Thursday hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for “abdicating” responsibility and allowing lynch mobs to rule under the pretext of cow protection.
Expressing shock over the killing of a dairy farm owner near Alwar in Rajasthan on suspicion that he was a cow smuggler, Rahul demanded strict action against the accused.
The Congress members raised the issue in Parliament and expressed concern over the “breakdown of law and order” in the BJP-ruled state.
