An additional Health director will prepare a detailed report on an alleged incident of a female at Nashik civil hospital on March 22, Health Minister Deepak Sawant said today.

"I cannot divulge more details now as the Assembly session is going on. But an additional director has been sent to Nashik and once the report is prepared, we will take further steps. We will try to nab all persons involved in it (the incident) and identify the institutes," Sawant told PTI.

A senior Health officer said, "More details are needed in addition to the investigation conducted earlier in the female case. "It will make our case stronger. The doctor from Nashik (civil) hospital will be prosecuted accordingly."

According to the Nashik-based BJP MLA Devyani Farande, the alleged illegal abortion was conducted at the civil hospital on March 22.

According to reports, a woman doctor had carried out the procedure.
