Sonalika Tractors sales up 19.6% in FY17
NEW DELHI: International Tractors Limited (ITL), makers of Sonalika-branded tractors, on Wednesday reported 19.6% increase in sales at 81531 units for the last financial year.
This is the highest sale of tractors ever to be recorded in the history of the company. This has led to the company’s market share increasing to 12.3% from 11.9% earlier.
While domestic sales went up by 18% by selling 69290 units, exports for the company too registered a growth of 29.3% to 12241 units during the year.
Raman Mittal, Executive Director - Sonalika ITL said, “Our brand initiatives, market strategies and after sale services have helped us to maintain our growth trajectory. We have exported 75000 tractors to international markets, till date, making us a global brand. We believe that our journey from here will only improve and help us scale greater heights.”
Sonalika ITL is currently marketing its products in over 80 countries, including 25 European countries with a product range starting from 20HP to 120HP, which are manufactured in India. Sonalika ITL has established one of the world’s largest integrated tractor manufacturing plant’s equipped with world-class technologies in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. The new plant has been designed to provide complete agricultural solutions to cater to the needs of the global and domestic markets, matching international standards in quality.
