Grab, India’s first last mile delivery service bridging the gap between businesses and consumers, on Wednesday, said it has entered into a partnership with telecom operators Airtel and Reliance Jio to offer customers home delivery and activation of SIM cards.

With this, an individual can place a request on Jio or Airtel’s platforms for a SIM card and get delivery as per his/ her availability. Grab provides the customer access to real-time availability data of riders around his/her locality or a future dynamic time slot to choose from, said Pratish Sanghvi, Director and Co-founder.

Currently, Grab has made the Jio SIM service available in 10 cities. However, since Jio offers home delivery of SIM cards across more than 600 cities in India, Grab has entered into a subscription arrangement that allows Jio to use its own riders in other cities but avail of Grab’s technology and rider app platform for a fee.

“Grab is also in advanced talks with other telecom and wallet companies to provide a similar set of services,” he added.
