Bengaluru: Watches and accessories maker Titan Co. Ltd Monday said the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corp. Ltd (TIDCO) has nominated Atulya Misra, principal secretary of the Tamil Nadu industries department, to its board.
In a BSE filing, Titan said TIDCO holds roughly 28% of its stock as of the quarter that ended in December. Titan began as a joint venture between TIDCO and the Tata Group in the 1980s.
The company’s shares closed at Rs459.25 on the BSE on Monday, down 0.44% compared with the previous close.
Misra will hold the office of director until Titan’s next annual general meeting (AGM) where his appointment as a director, liable to retire by rotation, will be brought up for shareholder approval.
