Coriander, jeera prices rise due to fall in supply

Firming trend in futures market also supported the uptick.

Jeera common and jeera best quality also increased by Rs 100 each to Rs 18,600-18,800 and Rs 20,600-21,100 per quintal, respectively.

Traders said buying support from retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up the and jeera prices.

Ajwain (per kg) 125-180, black pepper (per kg) 640-790, betel-nut (kg) 250-295, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 720-740 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 780-1,070.
