At least 11 persons were buried as landslides struck East Java province in Indonesia, an official said on Saturday.
The landslides, trigger by heavy downpours, occurred in Ponorogo district and destroyed 25 to 30 houses, Xinhua news agency quoted Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesman of the national disaster management agency, as saying.
A rescue operation is underway, he said.
