Rice basmati prices rose further by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today following rising demand.
However, other grains held steady in thin trade.
Traders said, besides rising demand from retailers, fall in supplies from producing regions, mainly kept rice basmati prices higher.
In the national capital, rice basmati common and Pusa-1121 variety gained another Rs 100 each to Rs 8,400-8,500 and Rs 6,800-8,100 per quintal, respectively.
