Three people were killed in a collision between a Scorpio and a truck near Salempur village on Etawah-Bareilly road, police said today.

The accident took place late last night under Madnapur police station area when a speeding truck hit a Scorpio coming from the opposite direction.



Rajpal Singh (74), Trivedi (56) and Gaurav Saxena (30) were killed on the spot.

Singh, a transporter from Farrukhabad, had gone to for some work and was returning home in his Scorpio when the accident took place, police said, adding that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.

The truck driver fled the scene leaving his vehicle behind, police added.
