At least six people were killed and over 20 others injured on Friday when a powerful blast ripped through a busy market area in Pakistan, police said.

The blast occurred at the Noor market in Parachinar, the largest city of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas bordering Afghanistan, SAMAA TV reported.

The political administration claimed that it was a suicide attack.

Police said there were more than one attackers who also fired on people.
