JMC Projects advances 4% on bagging orders worth Rs 1,058 crore

NEW DELHI: Shares of JMC Projects climbed as much as 4 per cent in early trade on Friday after the engineering firm informed bourses that it has secured new orders worth Rs 1,058 crore.

These projects include a residential building project in Thane worth Rs 531 crore as well as two commercial building projects in Bangalore worth Rs 527 crore.

The scrip was trading 2.42 per cent up at Rs 266.40 at 9.30 am (IST). Shares of the company opened at Rs 267.50 and touched a high and low of Rs 270.40 and Rs 265.05, respectively, in trade so far. Meanwhile, Sensex was trading 49.90 points, or 0.11 per cent, down at 29,614.210.

S K Tripathi, CEO & Dy Managing Director of the company in a statement said, "Our strong credibility with some of our focused clients has led to repeat orders, resulting into a strong order book. It provides a visibility of a healthy and profitable growth over next 2 years."

The JMC is a subsidiary of Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd. It provides services including civil, structural and MEP for all major industries and project types.

Kalpataru Power Transmission was trading 0.02 per cent up at Rs 319.35 at around the same time.
