Milk price up by Rs 2 from today

Nandini milk is dearer by Rs 2 more in southern Karnataka from Friday. In the northern districts, the price goes up by a rupee.

With this increase, Nandini toned milk, earlier priced at Rs 33 a litre, now goes up to Rs 35 in areas under the Bengaluru, Mandya, Kolar, Tumakuru, Mysuru, Hassan, Shivamogga and Mother Dairy unions. In places under the Belagavi, Raichur, Ballari and Dakshina Kannada unions, the price was Rs 34 a litre. It is now Rs 35.

Nandini homogenised toned milk is now priced at Rs 36 in areas under the Dharwad, Haveri, Gadag, Uttara Kannada, Vijayapura and Bagalkot unions. In areas under the Kalaburagi, Bidar and Yadgir unions, the new price is Rs 37.

The price of curd went up by Rs 2 per litre in all the 15 unions. In Bengaluru, Tumakuru, Mandya, Kolar, Mother Dairy, Hassan, Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Shimoga, Raichur-Ballari, Dharwad, Vijayapura, Belagavi and Kalaburagi unions, a litre of curd costs Rs 42.
