Two people were killed and 31 others rescued after a fire broke out at the upscale Golden Park hotel in Central Kolkata.

Both the deceased have been identified as residents of Odisha.

Around 29 rooms of the hotel were occupied.

Sources indicate that the fire broke out in the wee hours of the morning.

At least 10 fire tenders were deployed to bring the blaze under control.
