Tata Steel appoints 2 new independent directors

MUMBAI: Tata Steel named two new Independent Directors to its board, the steelmaker said in a regulatory filing in BSE on Wednesday.

Aman Mehta was a CEO of HSBC Asia Pacific region. He retired from HSBC in 2004 and now is occupied with corporate governance, board and advisory roles in companies such as Cairn India and Tata Consultancy Services.

Deepak Kapoor was Chairman of PwC India operations. He has experience in audit function as well as business advisory.

Tata Steel also added that Independence Director Subodh Bhargava retired from the board.
