TCS, RIL, Infosys, HUL lose Rs 26,738 cr in market capitalisation

The combined gain by these companies was less than the total loss suffered

The combined valuation of four of the top-10 most valued Indian companies declined by Rs 26,738.39 crore last week, led by IT major

TCS, RIL, and HUL suffered losses in their capitalisation (m-cap) for the week ended Friday, while Bank, ITC, ONGC, HDFC, and CIL witnessed rally.



The combined gain of Rs 12,319.95 crore by these companies was less than the total loss suffered by the top-four firms.

The valuation of slumped Rs 19,723.4 crore to Rs 4,78,173.60 crore and that of plunged Rs 4,637.15 crore to Rs 4,17,240.85 crore.

Infosys's m-cap plummeted by Rs 1,883.25 crore to Rs 2,36,998.75 crore and of HUL dipped by Rs 494.59 crore to Rs 1,94,722.41 crore.

On the other hand, the valuation of CIL jumped Rs 5,152.83 crore to Rs 1,85,011.83 crore.

ONGC's valuation soared Rs 2,631.12 crore to Rs 2,46,398.12 crore and of jumped Rs 2,260.81 crore to Rs 2,32,216.81 crore.

The m-cap of advanced by Rs 1,555.59 crore to Rs 2,20,108.59 crore, (Rs 376.55 crore to Rs 3,64,772.55 crore) and (Rs 343.05 crore to Rs 3,41,195.05 crore).

In the top-10 ranking, led the pack followed by RIL, Bank, ITC, ONGC, Infosys, HDFC, SBI, HUL and CIL.

Both the key indices posted their first weekly loss in three weeks, with BSE Sensex slumping 227.59 points, or 0.76 per cent, and the Nifty 52.05 points, or 0.56 per cent.
