Freight rates for nine-tonne payload section rose by Rs 1000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following fresh cargo movements amid less position of trucks in the market.
Transporters said tight availability of trucks and fresh arrivals of cargo pushed up some of centres freight rates.
Delhi to Mysore, Puducherry and Goa freight rates moved up by Rs 1000 each to Rs 70,000, Rs 72,000 and Rs 57,000.
Rates to Pune, Baroda and Kochi also went up by Rs 1000 each to Rs 30,000, Rs 24,000 and Rs 79,000.
Elsewhere, rest all other centres freight rates enquired around overnight levels on some support.
