At least nine people were killed and two others sustained injuries after an operation platform collapsed at a power plant in south China's Guangdong Province on Saturday.
Xinhua news agency quoted sources with the local government of the outer Conghua district as saying that the incident took place at No. 7 Thermal Power Plant in the provincial capital Guangzhou this morning.
The power plant, which is located in Conghua, is still under construction.
The government has ordered a probe into the incident.
