Taking forward his breakfast interaction with BJP leaders, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday sought feedback from Gujarat MPs on central government schemes. A day earlier, Modi had met with MPs from UP.

During Friday’s meeting at his Race Course residence, Modi sought a response from MPs from his home state on the welfare schemes initiated by his government. The MPs said the programmes were in the best interest of the people.

It is learnt that Modi asked each of the Gujarat MPs to look after five constituencies ahead of the Assembly polls in the state, slated for later this year.

BJP chief Amit Shah has given ‘Mission 150’ to the party’s poll managers to improve the BJP’s previous performance of 123 seats. Modi told the leaders to spend 72 hours at the panchayat level as he wants the party to reach out to rural areas during the week-long celebrations, starting from the BJP’s foundation day on April 6 till April 14 to mark B R Ambedkar’s birth anniversary.
