BJP's Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy today said Uttar Pradesh would "shine" under the leadership of newly-elected Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
"Yogi ji is a brave and good leader and Uttar Pradesh will now shine under his leadership," he said at Sonari Aerodrome here.
Swamy was here to attend a function organised to pay tribute to freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, who were hanged on this day in 1931.
On the much talked about triple talaq issue, the BJP leader said the party would not support such practice as it was in violation of Article 14 (Equality Before Law) of the Constitution.
Soon after Yogi was named for the top post of Uttar Pradesh earlier this week, Swami had tweeted, "Yogi Adityanath as CM is the best answer to UP people's prayer for a bright future.
