Suspected terror bid foiled at Pak's Lahore airport

LAHORE: Pakistan's security forces today foiled a suspected terror bid at the international airport here and seized weapons and ammunition.

During a routine inspection at the Allama Iqbal International Airport, the Airport Security Force personnel stopped a vehicle and found a weapon and a huge cache of ammunition upon checking, Dawn reported, quoting officials.

The security personnel confiscated a .223 bore rifle, seven magazines, and dozens of bullets from the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle, a resident of Lahore, was detained and handed over to the police for further interrogation.
