"All branches of Bharatiya Mahila (BMB) will function as branches of the from April 1. Customers, including depositors of BMB, will be treated as customers of SBI," the RBI said in a statement here.

It was earlier notified that five associate banks -- SBBJ (State of Bikaner and Jaipur), SBM (State of Mysore), SBT (State of Travancore), SBP (State of Patiala) and SBH (State of Hyderabad) -- will be merged with the on April 1.

The government had issued the acquisition order for Bharatiya Mahila Limited on March 20.
