Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president was elected legislature party leader of the SAD here today.

Former chief parliamentary secretary and Adampur Teenu was elected chief whip of the legislature party.



This was decided unanimously by members of the legislature party in a meeting presided over by party patron and former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal.

The members brought on record the services rendered by SAD president during the last 10 years and also appreciated the development done during SAD-rule.

They said the party would play the role of a constructive opposition under Mr Sukhbir Badal's leadership and continue to work for the welfare of and Punjabis.
