The nearly 8-kg Improvised Explosive Device was unearthed by a joint patrolling team of the (BSF) and the District Force from forests between Kurenar and Kanhargaon villages under the Bande police station limits, a district police official told PTI.



The explosive was planted by Maoists to harm security personnel during their operations in the area, he said, adding that the IED was later destroyed with the help of a Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS).
