[India], Mar.16 (ANI): In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Digital India campaign, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has started e-procurement, becoming the first Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) to do so.

With SSB procuring 23 vehicles from the newly-created Government e-marketplace (GeM), Director General Archana Ramasundaram expressed her satisfaction on the decision taken by the force.

She said that e-procurement will improve transparency in purchase of various stores.

SSB has directed its field units to procure vehicles and stores from Government e-marketplace. (ANI)
