The (BPSC), Patna, has invited applications for 1065 assistant engineer (AE) posts. The posts are available for civil and mechanical engineers. Interested candidates can download the application form from the official BPSC website. The last date to apply is on April 12, 2017 by 05:30 AM.

Eligibility criteria
 
Interested candidates, who wish to apply for the posts, should first go through the official notification properly. Candidates should be at least 21 years old and no older than 42 years. They should have a B.Tech (civil/mechanical) degree from any recognised university.

Candidates who apply will have to appear for a written examination. The selected entrants will have be called for a personal interview. The final selection will be made on the basis of academic qualification, experience assessment of candidate’s performance in both examination and personal interview.
 
The pay scale is Rs 9,300 to Rs 34,800 with grade pay of Rs 5,400.

Eligible candidates may send their application in prescribed format with relevant documents and fee by registered post / speed post to the BPSC, Since application submission is through registered/ speed post, candidates are suggested to post the form beforehand in order to avoid postal delay.

General category candidates have to pay Rs 800 fees and for the reserved categories, the fees is Rs 250. Candidates have to pay the application fees through the bank challan.
 
About BPSC
 
BPSC (conditions of service) regulations, 1960 was framed by the State of Bihar in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 318 of the Constitution of India and in supersession of the Regulation published with the Appointment Department's notification no. A-2654 dated March 31, 1953. Under Rule 3 of the Regulations, 1960 the Commission was constituted with a Chairman and 10 (ten) other members. The strength of members was reduced to 6 (six) after bifurcation of the State of Bihar and the State of Jharkhand vide notification no. 7/PSC-1013/95 (Part-3) Per 8262 dated October 9, 2002 of the Personnel & Administrative Reforms Department, Bihar.
