New Delhi, March 16:
Reliance General Insurance Company Ltd, a subsidiary of Reliance Capital, has approved the transfer of its retail health insurance business into a separate 100 per cent subsidiary of Reliance Capital.
Reliance Capital has also appointed Ravi Vishwanath with over 20 years global experience in health insurance as the Chief Executive Officer of the new company -- Reliance Health Insurance Ltd.
For the year ended March 31, 2016, Reliance General Insurance's health insurance business had recorded gross written premium of Rs 570 crore.
