March 16 (The Sports Xchange) - The Atlanta Falcons agreed to terms with two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Dontari Poe on Thursday.
The team did not disclose the terms for Poe, but Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported it's a one-year deal worth up to $8 million -- with incentives boosting the total to $10 million.
Poe, who was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2013 and 2014, recorded 27 tackles, 1.5 sacks and one forced fumble while playing in all 16 games last season for the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Baltimore Ravens reached an agreement in principle with veteran cornerback Brandon Carr on a four-year contract, the team announced.
ESPN reported that Carr's contract is actually a one-year deal with a series of options that make it a four-year deal worth $24 million.
Carr, a 10-year NFL veteran who turns 31 in May, is coming off his best season, when he had one interception, nine pass deflections, a quarterback pressure, a tackle for loss and 61 tackles for the Dallas Cowboys.

The Minnesota Vikings confirmed that running back Adrian Peterson won't be back with the team next season.
General manager Rick Spielman announced that the Vikings will not re-sign Peterson, who is a free agent, after they earlier reached an agreement with former Oakland Raiders running back Latavius Murray.

The Los Angeles Rams agreed to terms with running back Lance Dunbar, multiple outlets reported.
ESPN's Adam Caplan reported that it's a one-year deal worth up to $3 million.
Dunbar returned from a torn ACL injury that ended his 2015 season and played in a limited role over 13 games behind rookie Ezekiel Elliott with the Dallas Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys re-signed one backup running back Darren McFadden to a one-year contract worth $980,000.
McFadden rushed 24 times for 87 yards over the final three games last season after returning from an elbow injury he sustained prior to training camp.

Carter split last season with the Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive tackle Gosder Cherilus announced his retirement over social media.
"After much thought, prayer and discussion with loved ones, I have decided to retire from the NFL," the 32-year-old Cherilus wrote on Twitter. "I am forever grateful to the teams, my teammates, the medical staffs and the fans."

Defensive tackle Al Woods changed teams but is not moving out of the AFC South.
Woods' agents announced on Twitter that their client has agreed to a deal with the Indianapolis Colts. Woods was released by the Tennessee Titans earlier this month.

The San Francisco 49ers and defensive tackle Chris Jones agreed to terms on a one-year deal.
Financial terms were not disclosed by the team for Jones, who was claimed off waivers from the Miami Dolphins on Nov. 8, 2016.

The Jacksonville Jaguars added depth among their linebackers by signing free agent Josh McNary to a contract.
McNary recorded 14 tackles as well as a team-high nine special-teams tackles while playing in all 16 games last season for the Indianapolis Colts.
