Joins hands with cloudBuy.com to create emarketplace platform
The Gujarat government has entered into an agreement with a global cloud-based solutions provider cloudBuy.com to develop a B2B marketplace for the small and large business units.
The e-marketplace will be used to promote the businesses on one single platform, where members would trade with each other and across India and globally.
The project has been developed to support Government of India's initiatives such as ‘Digital India’ and ‘Make in India’, which aims to turn India into a global manufacturing hub, the company informed.
Nilesh Gopali, cloudBuy, Country Head – India said, "This B2B marketplace will not only increase the trade for businesses in Gujarat, but also boost employment opportunities in ecommerce and associated service sector. With B2B trading opportunities being much bigger and faster now, the businesses of Gujarat will benefit both in terms of revenue growth and reaching out to far wider audience here in India and globally."
Each company that registers for this marketplace will be given the opportunity to list details along with products and services online, promoting business to a much wider audience. Full access to support & reporting to be provided to maximise their growth through ecommerce sales.
The emarketplace is built on the secure cloudBuy platform, which is ISO 27001 and PCI DSS Level 1 certified.
Companies from the fulfilment services like logistics providers and financial institutions will become partners on the platform making it easier for businesses to transact.
Accessibility for all users through cell phones on a secure platform will enhance the user experience ensuring trades online.
VISA AP, partnering with cloudBuy, will facilitate transactions on the new Gujarat marketplace via purchase cards.
In the long term the emarketplace will provide the content for state eprocurement initiatives to drive efficiency and transparency in the supply chain.
