Election result highlights: Victory in UP, Uttarakhand is victory of nationalism, PM: Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari
NEW DELHI: Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari today dubbed the party's success in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand as the victory of nationalism and of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Tiwari, who was the party's star campaigner in UP and Uttarakhand polls, said that the voters have also replied to the "hate campaign" ran by the Opposition parties against Narendra Modi in the elections.
"In Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand, the opposition parties ran a hate campaign against the Prime Minister to which the voters have replied by saying 'Hume Modi-Shah ka Saath Pasand Hai," he said.
Terming the poll verdict in Manipur and Punjab as a defeat of the anti-national forces, he said, the people of Manipur have raised the voice of nationalism while those in Goa and Punjab have outrightly rejected the forces which have worked against the Constitution and encouraged anti-national elements.
The Bhojpuri singer-actor-turned-politician also credited the BJP's victory in the UP and the Uttarakhand to hard work of the party workers and the campaign and electoral micro management by Modi and BJP president Amit Shah.
