Shah refused to comment on chief Mayawati's allegation that Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were "managed" to facilitate his party's win. She also termed the Uttar Pradesh election "very surprising".

She said her party has asked the Election Commission to cancel the in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

"I can understand the mental condition of Mayawati. But I will not comment on her remarks," Shah said when asked about the allegations.
