Over 800 scheduled caste and and scheduled tribe school students in Kalinganagar, Bamnipal and Sukinda areas of were given fellowships.

Out of the total 811 students, 374 were from Kalinganagar, 233 students were from Bamnipal and 204 were from Sukinda.



The fellowships were awarded yesterday at a function in Kalinganagar where district education officer Krushna Chandra Nayak was the chief guest.

"I am thankful to for motivating SC/ST students from Danagadi, Sukinda and Harichandanpur blocks through this fellowship," Nayak said.

Last year, 360 students from Kalinganagar, 228 from Sukinda and 255 from Bamnipal were awarded fellowships amounting to Rs 47.36 lakh.
