There are 929 registered brick kilns in of which Sri Ganganagar district has the highest number, Labour and Employment Minister Jaswant Singh Yadav said today.

He was replying to a question during the in the Assembly today.



The highest number of brick kilns registered, 321, were in Sri Ganganagar district followed by Hanumangarh and with 290 and 146 respectively, the Minister said.

He said that the kilns are registered under Brick Kiln Factory Act, 1948, and there are various provisions for the labourers working at these kilns.

Some members raised the issue of unregistered brick kilns.

The minister said that there are specific rules under the Act based on which brick kilns are registered.
