The efforts of the state government under the ambitious 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' programme were clearly reflected in the improved sex ratio at birth (SRB), which was recorded at 938 girls per 1,000 boys in February, 2017, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said today.
The SRB was recorded at 922 girls per 1,000 boys in January, Khattar, who was speaking during the ongoing Budget Session of the state Assembly here, added.
Extending greetings on the occasion of International Women's Day, he said the average SRB of January and February was 930 girls per 1,000 boys.
Similarly, the SRB of 12 months, from March 2016 to February 2017, was recorded at 907 girls per 1,000 boys, the chief minister added.
