Leading entertainment company Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific on Wednesday said it has appointed an India Advisory Board comprising experts from corporate, digital media and public policy.
This is the first of its kind advisory board set up outside the US to counsel the company’s India leadership team in strategic matters and tap into new growth opportunities, it said.
India strategyThe Indian advisory board include former Economic Advisor to the PM S Narayan, banker Naina Lal Kidwai and digital media evangelist Ali Hussein.
In a statement, Arthur Bastings, President & Managing Director, Discovery Networks Asia Pacific said, these industry leaders will help in the execution of the company’s ambitious India strategy.
Valuable insights“The insights from this eminent group will be invaluable as we look to accelerate the transformation of our business and leverage new growth opportunities across South Asia,” he added.
New channelsIn India, the company has been steadily expanding its portfolio by adding new TV channels.
Last month, it launched its sports channel DSport.
