Class 10 and Class 12 examinations, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE), would begin on Thursday.
A total of 8,86,506 students are appearing for Class 10 board-conducted exam and 10,98,891 are appearing for the Class 12 exam this year. The school-conducted Class 10 exams are set to begin on March 15 and 7,81,463 students will be appearing for it in the country.
From the next academic year, there will be no school-conducted exam as the Board exam has been made mandatory. According to an official in the Chennai regional office, there are no changes in the Class 10 and Class 12 examination pattern. CBSE has comewith an app for students to locate their exam centres. Using the ‘Exam Centre Locator’, the students would be able to enter their roll number and find the address, images and geo-location of their centre. It would also display a route map.
