The Department for International Trade in partnership with BEAMA is bringing a Smart Grid Trade Mission to Smart Grid Week (ISGW) from 7-10 March 2017 in

The British smart grid delegation comprises nine smart grid companies along with BEAMA, the UK's leading trade association.

The participating companies range from smart meter manufacturers, to communication technology, data analytics, financing and software solution providers. The companies will be exhibiting at ISGW. This is the second year the has had a presence and is the largest delegation from the to participate at ISGW.

Andy Barr, First Secretary, Department for International Trade said: "I am delighted to be working with BEAMA for the second year in a row to bring a focused business delegation to Smart Grid Week. The companies I have this week have a wealth of skills, services and technologies within and beyond the Smart Grids projects - and they are interested in working with Indian partners to ensure efficient and reliable energy for all."

This trade mission falls just one month ahead of the visit of Greg Clark to on 6-7 April. As Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, he will be meeting his Ministerial counterparts in New Delhi, who are hosting him for the inaugural India-Energy Dialogue. I look forward to welcoming more fantastic companies to this inaugural Dialogue."
