Inc, a global industrial and aerospace manufacturer and service provider, signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately held LP, a leading supplier of temperature and sequential valve gate control systems to the industry.

While primarily serving the plastic industry, the Sterling (Virginia, USA) headquartered also provides temperature control solutions for blow moulding, extrusion, and thermoforming applications. It mainly serves end-user markets such as packaging, electronics, automotive, medical, and household products.

“We look forward to adding control systems to our moulding solutions business. adds technologically advanced, temperature control systems to our existing product portfolio, which enable moulders to achieve precise temperature control of the process within the mould. This will ensure high quality parts in the most critical moulding applications. These capabilities, when combined with Barnes Group’s leading hot runner, complex mould, and sensor technologies, create an unsurpassed offering to our customers in the plastic industry,” commented Scott Mayo, senior vice president of Inc and president, Barnes Industrial.

Following the closing of the deal, will operate as a business within Barnes Group’s industrial segment, in the Molding Solutions strategic business unit, which includes technology-based businesses Synventive, Manner, Thermoplay, Priamus, and recently acquired Foboha. With a comprehensive portfolio of technologies and value-added services, delivers premium tool-based solutions to customers across a broad spectrum of applications.
