The assembly passed Municipalities (Amendment) bill, ILD Skill university bill and Bhartiya Skill Development University bill by voice vote.



Speaking on the objective of the Municipalities bill, Urban development minister Srichand Kriplani said that the bill was aimed at making the state clean and beautiful.

"With a view to implement the policy of the State to amalgamate the laws relating to one department on connected subject in a single wherever feasible, the Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, 2006 is proposed to be merged in the Municipalities Act, 2009 in the shape of new Chapter," the objective of the bill said.

Replying on the ILD Skills university bill, labour minister Jaswant Singh said the university will be an enabling platform to converge the funding for sustainable skilling in the State.

The university will become the affiliating body for a large number of institutions operating in skill and vocational training.

The ILD Skills University, would be able to benchmark required standards for overall betterment of training and certification, its objectives said.

The house also passed the Bhartiya Skill development university bill.
