NSE shareholders give nod to hire Vikram Limaye as MD and CEO for five years

MUMBAI: National Stock Exchange of India(NSE) shareholders on Tuesday approved the appointment of Vikram Limaye as managing director and CEO for five years.

NSE said at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders, the exchange had sought approval of Vikram Limaye's appointment as managing director and CEO and for his salary package of Rs 8 crore.

Limaye now requires regulatory approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India to formally take charge as the new head of the exchange.
