D-Mart supermarket chain raises Rs 561 crore
MUMBAI: A day ahead of its public issue, Avenue Supermarts, which runs the D-Mart supermarket chain, on Tuesday raised Rs. 561 crore by allotting shares to 35 anchor investors.
Avenue Supermarts sold 1.8 crore shares at Rs. 299 per share, the upper-end of the Rs. 295-299 price band. The issue will open on March 8 and close on March 10, 2017.
Investors who acquired shares in anchor allotment include Smallcap World Fund, New World Fund, Fidelity, Govt of Singapore, JP Morgan, T Rowe Price, HDFC MF, Reliance MF, ICICI Prudential MF and SBI MF among others.
Avenue Supermarts has reserved 50% portion of public issue for qualified institutional buyers and out of which, 60% may be allocated to anchor investors. The company has reserved 35% of the total issue to retail investors while 15% portion of the total issue size is reserved for non-institutional investors.
