Afghanistan on Monday stressed that the priority of any strategy to combat the menace of terror in the region should be ending state and individual sponsorship of terror.
“The number one priority of the strategy should be ending sponsorship of terrorism by persuasion or coercive actions against states and individuals,” Afghanistan’s National Security Advisor, M Hanif Atmar, said here on Monday.
He was delivering the keynote address at the “Asian Security Conference” organised by the Institute of Defence Studies and Analyses in New Delhi.
