The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has submitted former Chief Minister Jayalaithaa’s medical treatment records to the Tamil Nadu government.
The documents contain detailed analysis of the treatment provided by a team of AIIMS doctors during their five visits to the Apollo Hospitals between October 5 and December 5, 2016. The team was headed by GC Khilani, Professor, Department of Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorder. The report was handed over to J Radhakrishnan, Tamil Nadu Health Secretary.
According to a State government release, the reports were consistent with and in consonance with earlier information provided by the government to the Madras High Court.
Speculations related to Jayalalithaa’s death and nature of treatment continue even after the British doctor Richard Beale met media persons last month to dispel rumours related to her death.
