Deutsche Bank falls 6.2 per cent after capital hike announced

FRANKFURT: Shares in Deutsche Bank fell 6.2 per cent in early trading in Frankfurt on Monday after Germany's biggest lender announced an 8 billion-euro ($8.48 billion) capital increase on Sunday.

"The question is whether this will be the last capital hike or whether the bank will need more yet again in a few years. Until now, none of the restructuring measures have borne fruit," said Stefan de Schutter, a trader at Frankfurt-based Alpha.
