Prices of and gram spurted by Rs 500 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on increased offtake by dal mills.

Traders attributed the upsurge in and gram prices to increased offtake by dal mills.



In the national capital, small variety surged by Rs 500 to Rs 8,900-9,400 per quintal.

Gram, gramdal local and best quality also shot up by Rs 200 each to Rs 5,500-5,700, Rs 6,400-6,700 and Rs 6,800-6,900 per quintal respectively.

Arhar and its dal dara variety too seen in demand and finished higher by Rs 150 and Rs 200 to Rs 4,400 and Rs 6,300-8,100 per quintal.
